The CAN Jump Initiative is a collaborative endeavour that has been put together by athletes and supporters of showjumping in Canada. It is a focused effort to promote a sustainable pathway of financial backing for athletes representing Team Canada in the sport of showjumping on the international stage. Our goal is to bring passion back to the Canadian Equestrian Team.
For the past 40 years, many Canadian riders dreamed of representing Canada in equestrian competition. This desire to ride for Canada created a depth of riders to choose from and strengthened our international success. We strive to make it an honour and privilege to ride on "The Team". We intend to create a sustainable future for Canadian showjumpers by putting in place a source of funding that will allow access to Nations Cup and Youth team competitions, so riders can arrive at these events with everything they need to be successful; this takes money.
This initiative is supported by the Canadian Olympic Foundation and Equestrian Canada, with the benefit of tax-deductible contributions. Strict guidelines have been established to ensure the money raised is for the sole purpose of supporting senior, youth and developing athletes representing Canada in international competition. All money raised will go directly to travel costs, team clothing, and other expenses related to team competitions.
The CAN Jump Initiative comes at a time of great hope and excitement within the team at the naming of our new Technical Advisor Captain Canada Ian Millar. He has been a pillar of the Canadian Team for over four decades. This generation and the generations to come are ready to thrive under his guidance. We want you to join us in the bright new era of showjumping in Canada!

BRIDGING THE GAP
Our mission is to provide Canadian showjumping athletes with the support needed
to compete and win in international team competition
to compete and win in international team competition
The CAN Jump Initiative is a unified Canadian organization that aims to support exciting new fundraising and strategic growth projects that support Canadian team riders. Until now, there was no organization in Canada that actively lobbied on behalf of Canadian riders and engaged potential donors asking for financial assistance. The CAN Jump Initiative fills that void and addresses a critical gap in the Canadian showjumping landscape.
